As the other European nations brace for the Euro 2012 games, Polish cities Warsaw, Poznan, and Gdansk set up big screens and special events stormed by thousands of fans and viewers. The events are sparked by last Friday’s draw Kyiv. Cities Poznan, Warsaw and Gdansk were marked by fan zones where ceremonies are held in celebration of last Friday’s result. From the draw, the country is now set to compete with Group A opponents which includes Greece, Russia and the Czech Republic.

Celebrating with the football fanatics are also some prominent names in the ballgame. Michal Zewlakow, former Poland and Olympics FC player said he is optimistic ad that it is a special game to play with Greece. Jerzy Dudek also took part in the momentum adding a bottle of champagne is the only one missing after the draw. The ex-international teammate also adds they should not be too optimistic as it would be a shame not to go through the group. Also celebrating the draw from the Poland- Ukraine Euro 2012 games match is Jacek Gmoch, who served as Poland’s coach from 1976-1978. Thousands of fans mark the game results with celebrations around the corner some celebrated the streak of luck while the others consider it a victory.
Final Schedules confirmed

Poland vs Greece, Spain vs. Italy, England vs. France and Germany vs. Portugal, these are the matches that will serve as opening games for the finals schedule of the Euro 2012 games. The schedules were confirmed after the Friday draw between Poland and Ukraine in Kyiv. Poland is now set to compete face to face with Greece in the Polish capital Warsaw on Friday, June 8 2012. Russia and Czech Republic follows this opening game while the Netherlands come face to face with Denmark, Saturday on Khariv to open the Group B competition. Following the Denmark-Netherlands match is Germany vs. Portugal which will take action in the green field of Lviv. Group C is marked by matches between Spain and Italy and Republic of Ireland and Croatia.

Ukraine will play Sweden in Kyiv, and then England will play France in Dontesk under Group D. The games will run until June 19 and the quarter finals will begin after a day’s off and will run for 4 nights straight. Semis would be on June 29, 2011 and will be held in Dontesk, Ukraine, and in Warsaw the following evening. Two days after the match, decisions will then be held on July 1, in Kyiv.

The Euro 2012 games hold one of the most anticipated and most watched games in Europe; the opening games give a promise of exhilaration to the football fans in the region and all over the world. With the matches set, the tournament braces for the ultimate football competition as fans and sports enthusiast prepare themselves to support their winning team.
